Who is eligible for a FREE NHS MenB vaccination?
From 20 July 2026, the NHS MenB vaccination is available for patients who meet one of the following eligibility criteria.
Cohort 2
First-time University Students
You are eligible if you:
- Were born on or after 21 July 2001
- Are under 25 years of age
- Are starting university for the first time in Autumn 2026
Cohort 3
First-time Residential Further Education Students
You are eligible if you:
- Were born on or after 21 July 2001
- Are under 25 years of age
- Are starting a residential further education college for the first time in Autumn 2026 as a residential student

Please read the eligibility criteria carefully before continuing.
If you do not meet the NHS eligibility criteria above, you may not be eligible to receive a FREE NHS MenB vaccination under the NHS programme.
